South American Air Travel
Flying from SFO to Lima, Peru felt like what air travel used to be like in the states. I had two early flights and was served a full breakfast on each of them. It was still in-air cuisine, but hot eggs and crepes hit the spot after trying to sleep on the red eye to El Salvador. They even passed out pillows, blankets, headphones, and newspapers. Things I’ve only heard rumor of on domestic...

His mom may not be a genius.
Mrs Wrigley, a housewife, added: “His vocabulary is amazing. He’s able to construct complex sentences.
“The other day he said to me, ‘Mummy, sausages are like a party in my mouth’.
That’s the most memorable quote you could come up with from your 2 year old genius… really?

Panel Biography
I’m participating in a panel discussion this summer and was asked to write my own bio to be published in the handouts. See if you can spot the differences between my version and the final version. (Names removed to protect the guilty.)

Today's Highlights
I was sent the clean version of a work document. I can only imagine what the dirty one looked like.
Someone asked if they needed to arrange information with my assistant. I have no idea who that is, but if they can find them they should let me know.
I am required to have a formal portrait taken for a brochure. (I’m not sure why this is so exciting)
I officially rescheduled snarky...

Friends and E-mail
All of my e-mail conversations with my friends follow a very similar format.
Person 1: Maybe we should do this?
Person 2: No we are doing this!
Person 3: Yea! Let’s do that!
It is rarely the same person starting the thread, but it always works out the same. It’s not surprising that this system of checks and balances gets us into crazy fun situations. Unrelated it looks like I may...

Super Bowl Water-cooler Fodder
The Pittsburgh Steelers won but didn’t beat the 7 point spread.
Santonio Holmes (MVP) made the game winning catch under triple coverage in the corner of the end zone.
James Harrison of the Steelers defensive line returned an interception 100 yards for a touchdown, the longest in Super Bowl history. Fun fact: Harrison was cut from the Steelers three times and once from the Ravens.
Joe...

In the case of [redacted], I requested a copy of his manuscript to proofread, and a tour of his hometown the next time I visit. Fair trade, I think.
